• Tran Van Long (Mr.), Partner,

    Long is responsible for developing Viet Insight's services in the field of monitoring and evaluation. Long's expertise includes project management, monitoring and evaluation, community development, coastal resource management and micro finance.

    Long has served as project manager for a number of development projects throughout Vietnam since 2001. He also participated in a number of researches on product market, land market and participatory poverty assessment. In addition, Long worked extensively in the Import/Export business in the City of Hai Phong during the period from 1986 to 1998.

    Long holds a MBA from the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand (2001), in addition to his Bachelors’ in International Trade, Hanoi Foreign Trade College (1986).

  • Tran Nhu Trang (Ms.), Managing Partner,

    As the Managing Partner, Trang is responsible for the daily management of the company. She is also responsible for developing and delivering execution and logistic support service at Viet Insight. Trang's expertise includes project management, monitoring and evaluation, quantitative as well as qualitative reasoning.

    Trang has served as project coordinator for a number of projects operating throughout the country where she built up a profound network of service providers and local partners.

    Trang holds her MA in Economics from Leeds University, United Kingdom in 2003 and a BA in International Trade from the Hanoi Foreign Trade University in 1999.

  • Bach Tan Sinh (Dr.), Special Associate,

    Sinh is responsible for developing services relating to governance and institutional studies in research & development and innovation, as well as environment protection, natural resources management, disaster risk reduction, and climate resilience. His expertise include project, program design, appraisal and evaluation.

    Beside Viet Insight, Dr. Sinh works as associate senior advisor and fellow of at the Institute of Policy and Management (IPAM), University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hanoi National University and the Institute for Circular Economy Development (ICED), Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City

    Dr. Sinh holds a Diploma-Engineer in Precision-mechanical Engineering at Ilmenau Technical University, Germany (1985), a MA. in Science and Technology Policy at University of Lund, Sweden (1993) and Ph.D. in Development and Planning at Aalborg University, Denmark (1998). Sinh was a Fulbright Post-doctoral visiting scholar at University of California, Berkeley, USA (1999-2000), visiting fellow at the a visiting lecturer and scholar at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management, Brandeis University, United States in 2011. Sinh is member of the International Association for Impact Assessment (IAIA), the Greening Industry Network (GIN) and the Globelics and Asialics - National Innovation System.

  • Bùi Văn, Partner,

    Bui Van is the Chairman of Viet Insight. He obtained the Engineer Degree from Hanoi University of Transportation (1980), B.A in Economics and Business Administration from Economics Institute, Boulder, CO, MA, USA (1996) and then Master Science in Public Policy and Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA, USA (1998) as Fulbright Scholar. Bui Van can cover a wide range of subjects such as Marketing Places, Public Finance, Financial Analysis, Accounting and conduct research on Marketing, Financial Management, and Economic Development. 

    Before joining FBNC- Finance and Business News Chanel which he is the Chief Director from 2015 until now, Bui Van used to be the Deputy Director of Fulbright Economics Teaching Program from 1995. FETP is a cooperative program of the Kennedy School of Government at the Harvard University and the University of Economics at Ho Chi Minh City. Established in 1994, the program been operated under the core funding of the Fulbright Program of the US Department of State.

  • Vu Quoc Huy (Dr.), Special Associate,

    Dr. Huy is responsible for social and economic surveys analysis at Viet Insight. His fields of interest include Economic Growth, Economics of Development, Trade Policy and Poverty Analysis.

    Dr. Huy served as National Economist at United Nations Development Programme in Ha Noi, Viet Nam for four years, from 1998 to 2002. He was a co-author of the first Viet Nam Human Development Report, published in 2001. Dr. Huy is member of East Asian Development Network (EADN) and Asian Economic Panel (AEP). Beside Viet Insight, Dr. Huy researches and teaches at Institute for Economic and Development Studies (IEDS), National Economics University (NEU) in Ha Noi.

    Dr. Huy holds his Diploma in Economics in 1979 at the Rostov State University (Russia), a Master’s Degree in Economics of Development in 1993 and a Ph.D. in Economics in 1996 at National Center for Development Studies (NCDS) and Research School of Social Sciences (RSSS) at the Australian National University (ANU), Australia. Dr. Huy also had intensive training in transition economy and development in Russia, Poland and Netherlands.

  • Pham Thi Thu Hang (Ms.), Administrator,

    Hang is responsible for the overall internal administratrion, finance and logistic service of Viet Insight

  • Nguyen Thi Thu Ha (Ms.), Chief Accountant,

    Ms. Ha obtained her Bachelor of Accounting from National Economic University since 2000 and joined Viet Insight since 2006. She is currently doing her CPA degree.
